With a spirit of cooperation and excellence, faculty members and students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Al-Hamdaniya represented the university at the Sustainability Scout Camp, which was held at the Northern Technical University in Kirkuk Governorate. The camp witnessed the participation of 42 universities in the Rover Scouts Camp and 22 universities in the Girl Guides Camp, during the period from October 29 to November 6, 2025. The University of Al-Hamdaniya achieved first place nationwide in both the Rover Scouts and Girl Guides camps.
This achievement was realized through the efforts of the Rover Scouts team led by Scout Leader Dr. Stefan Jijo Karsh, alongside the Girl Guides team supervised by Scout Leader Klara Abdulkhaliq and faculty member Noor Ghanem, who delivered an outstanding performance in the areas of sustainability, teamwork, and community service.
The President of the University, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Sliwa, praised this accomplishment and commended the participants for their dedicated efforts.
In this context, the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Rabee Hazim Salman, expressed his pride in this achievement, emphasizing that it paves the way for further academic participations and university distinctions at both the national and international levels.
