The Student Activities Division organized the final match of the University Faculty Football Championship as part of the activities of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week at the University of Al-Hamdaniya. The match featured teams from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and the College of Administration and Economics, aiming to raise awareness about the dangers of drugs and promote a culture of healthy living among students.
The match was held at the Qaraqosh Sports Stadium under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Sliwa, and in the presence of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Rabee Hazim Salman, along with the ministerial committee supervising the activities of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week.
During his attendance, the University President emphasized that these activities are part of a comprehensive program implemented by the university to protect youth from the risks of addiction, noting that sports represent one of the most effective means of raising awareness and instilling positive behaviors within the university environment.
At the conclusion of the match, the College Dean praised the sportsmanship and outstanding performance demonstrated by both teams, affirming the continuous support of the college and university for organizing purposeful activities that contribute to enhancing the physical and mental health of students. The Dean also honored the winning team and congratulated both teams for their participation and the spirit of positive competition that characterized the match.
