The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Rabee Hazim Salman, honored today the scout and guiding teams of the college in recognition of their outstanding efforts and exemplary representation of the university, following their achievement of first place at the national level in the Sustainability Camping Program held at the Northern Technical University in Kirkuk Governorate.
This honor reflects the dedication and commitment demonstrated by the participants during the camp activities. The scout team, led by Scout Leader Dr. Stefan Jijo Karsh, and the guiding team, supervised by Scout Leader Clara Abdul Khaliq and Lecturer Noor Ghanem, delivered exceptional performance in the fields of sustainability, teamwork, and community service. They surpassed 42 universities participating in the scouts’ camp and 22 universities in the guiding camp, held from October 29 to November 6, 2025.
During the ceremony, the Dean highlighted that this achievement reflects the college’s capacity to prepare students with leadership and scouting skills, enabling them to represent the university in national and international forums. University President Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Sliwa also praised the results, affirming the university’s continuous support for such student initiatives.
The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences affirms its support for all participating students and commends their high spirit and determination to elevate the university’s reputation across various fields, wishing them continued success in future endeavors.
