The Sustainable Development Committee at the University Presidency, in collaboration with the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, organized a student volunteer campaign aimed at promoting a culture of waste sorting (paper – plastic – food waste) across the university campus.
The campaign was implemented under the supervision of Ms. Istabraq Ali Hameed, Chair of the Sustainable Development Committee; Ms. Inas Anad Ahmed, committee member; and Lecturer Mr. Saif Saad Ezzat from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, with the participation of a group of students from the college on Monday, November 24, 2025.
The campaign involved placing informative labels on waste bins throughout the campus, categorizing them according to type: paper, plastic, and food waste. This initiative aligns with the university’s efforts to promote environmental sustainability concepts and encourage environmentally friendly waste management practices.
