In a remarkable sporting achievement, the female volleyball team of Hamdaniya University qualified for the finals of the Iraqi Universities Championship after a well-deserved victory over the Northern Technical University team, winning three sets to one in the northern region qualifiers.
The match was attended by the President of Hamdaniya University, Professor Dr. Nishat Mubarak, and the Vice Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Rabeea Hazim Salman. The game showcased a high level of technical performance, reflecting the significant efforts invested in preparation and training, as well as the exemplary sportsmanship demonstrated by the students.
With this victory, Hamdaniya University secures a place in the finals of the Iraqi Universities Championship, which will be held during the second academic semester, adding another milestone to the college’s and university’s record of sporting achievements.
The University President praised the outstanding performance of the players, commended the role of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in developing the students’ physical and technical skills, and affirmed the university administration’s continued support for sports activities due to their vital role in shaping students’ character and fostering a spirit of competition and achievement.
