Vision:
Competition is the primary basis for achieving the college’s local, regional, and international standards through the proper preparation of sports educational leaders in educational institutions, government-affiliated institutions, and private civil society organizations for sports activities, and the development and modernization of activities in line with quality standards. As a government institution, the college is committed to achieving a distinguished position during its first four years among the advanced colleges in Iraq and the Arab world.

The mission of the college is to prepare cadres and qualify students who graduated from the college with special information and skills in the field of physical education and sports and support the labor market. It also works to raise the level of service and advisory to the local and regional community by developing the teaching profession and serving the private labor market. It contributes to providing research services in specialized fields related to training and teaching programs and to qualify students scientifically in this college to compete in the labor market in the country, as it gains the trust of society by raising the level of distinguished services for individuals and contributing to investing free time.
Objectives
The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences aims to achieve the following purposes and functions:
1- Preparing specialized cadres in the field of physical education to work in various community institutions within one of the following fields:
- Teaching physical education
- Sports training
- Sports Management
2- Preparing specialists in sports health, sports movement sciences, sports psychology, and sports recreation, as the college grows older.
3- Conducting research and studies in various fields of physical education.
4- Providing scientific advice and cooperation with governmental, civil, scientific, sports, youth, Arab and international bodies and institutions in studying sports issues to achieve common goals in various fields of physical education.
5- Providing scientific and applied services and refining and qualifying workers in the sports field through the development of specialized laboratory equipment.
