In response to the directive of the Iraqi Council of Ministers, and under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Nashaat Mubarak Sliwa, President of the University of Al-Hamdaniya, the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences organized a moment of silence to commemorate the anniversary of the genocide committed against the Yazidi community and other minorities.
The event included a one-minute moment of silence, observed by faculty and staff, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Rabi’ Hazem Al-Salman, Dean of the College, as an expression of solidarity with national and humanitarian causes, and a reaffirmation of the college’s commitment to the values of peaceful coexistence and social unity.
The college emphasizes that this moment of remembrance is not merely a symbolic act, but a moral and human stance that reinforces the importance of community cohesion and rejection of all forms of violence, extremism, and discrimination.
