Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Rabee Hazim Salman, the Continuing Education Unit organized a specialized workshop entitled “Drugs and Addiction” as part of the activities of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week, held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
The workshop was presented by student Afram Maher Zako, who addressed, in a scientific and analytical manner, the risks associated with narcotic substances, their health, psychological, and social effects, the factors leading to addiction, and early prevention strategies. The presentation also emphasized the role of educational institutions in promoting societal awareness.
The workshop witnessed active engagement from the attendees through discussions and contributions focusing on strategies to protect students within the university environment.
At the conclusion of the event, the college awarded certificates of appreciation to the participants in recognition of their efforts and contributions to the success of this awareness activity.
