The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences commemorated the International Volunteer Day through its active participation in the collective initiative led by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Sliwa, on the morning of Sunday, December 7, 2025.
This initiative was organized within the framework of the university’s efforts to foster an ideal academic environment that promotes the values of volunteerism and social responsibility, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals and the United Nations’ theme for this year: “Every contribution makes a difference.”
The event witnessed wide participation from the college’s faculty members, staff, and students, in addition to the presence and participation of the Assistant Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Rabee Hazem Salman, which added an institutional and organizational dimension to the initiative.
The activities included a comprehensive campaign to clean the university’s gardens, buildings, and corridors, as well as awareness programs highlighting the importance of volunteer work and encouraging the effective use of time and skills in serving the public good and strengthening the spirit of cooperation and giving within the university community.
The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences affirmed that its participation reflects its leading role in supporting community initiatives, contributing to sustainable development, and reinforcing a culture of volunteerism as a fundamental value in building a conscious and responsible generation.
