Under the patronage of the President of the University of Al-Hamdaniya, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Sliwa, and under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Rabee Hazem Salman, the team of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences was crowned champion of the University of Al-Hamdaniya Men’s Volleyball Championship, organized by the Department of Student Activities.

This well-deserved victory came after an outstanding performance delivered by the college team in the final match against the team of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, where the team dominated the course of the match and secured a straight-sets victory (3–0).

The team opened the match with strong focus and performance, winning the first set 25–12, followed by a second set victory 25–13, before concluding the match decisively in the third set with a score of 25–16, under the leadership of head coach Dr. Mahmoud Abdul-Aali Saleh.

The final match was attended by Professor Dr. Aed Akkab Marai, President of Nineveh Plains Private University, accompanied by members of its academic staff, as well as Assistant Professor Dr. Riyadh Mubarak Hano, Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, in addition to a large audience of university faculty members, staff, and students. Attendees praised the high level of organization, professionalism, and technical performance demonstrated by both teams, emphasizing the importance of such championships in promoting sportsmanship and developing students’ skills.

This championship represents one of the prominent sporting activities that contribute to supporting student engagement and reinforcing the values of positive competition and physical fitness within the university. The team of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences expressed its pride in this achievement, which adds to the college’s distinguished record of sporting accomplishments.
