The Unit performs its assigned tasks in cooperation with the Financial and Legal Departments and the Construction and Projects Department within the University Presidency. The goal of the Government Contracts Unit is to achieve maximum benefit for the College at the lowest cost and with the highest possible quality standards, through its mission of adhering to the highest standards of integrity and transparency in concluding contracts, whether concluded with other government institutions or with the private sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">Tasks:<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">\u00a0\u00a0 The Government Contracts Unit undertakes many tasks that are consistent with the nature of the role for which it was formed. These tasks include the following:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">Preparing and organizing contracts in coordination with the Government Contracts Division or the Government Contracts Department at the University Presidency.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">Announcing tenders and public auctions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">Implementing and following up on circulars and correspondence received from the university presidency.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">Preparing an electronic database that includes all legislation, laws, instructions and circulars related to government contracts.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">Review and study contracts before submitting them to the respected Dean of the College for signature.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">Coordinating with the Government Contracts Division at the University Presidency to obtain approval for selecting the optimal contracting method.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">Follow up on the implementation of concluded contracts and obtain the necessary approvals in this regard and for everything related to the implementation of government contracts.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">Forming committees to open and analyze bids, in coordination with the engineering, legal, and financial affairs departments.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">Any other tasks and duties consistent with the work of the Government Contracts Unit.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">\u00a0 Laws and instructions that fall within the scope of work of the Government Contracts Unit<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit\"> :<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit\">\u00a0 The Government Contracts Unit relies on several laws in performing its work and implementing its duties,
